LG Sentio GS505

LG Sentio GS505

The Pros: This phone is amazing for first-time touchscreen users and is spectacular for keeping in touch online and via messaging.

The Cons: The Sentio has a lot of unused applications when Internet isn't added to the user's T-mobile plan.

T-mobile's 2010 LG Sentio!

When I first got the Sentio (GS505), I was a little iffy about whether or not I wanted to make the change from a regular cell phone to a touchscreen. I know there are some people out there who feel the same way I did but I have to say that there really was no problem switching to the Sentio. Sure the phone took some getting used to, but after a couple of hours the transition was a lot simpler than I thought it would be. So! I'm here to give you an honest review along with my opinion on the new LG Sentio! Enjoy [:

First Impressions..

At first glance the Sentio just came off as another 3G touchscreen phone delivered into the cell phone world. However, it seems to be a bit more than that. It's currently offered in a pretty midnight blue color from T-mobile and has a full touchscreen. The phone has three main buttons at the bottom consisting of the Call, End Call, and a back button. Side buttons include volume, camera, a task menu, and a lock button. There is a spot for a phone charm at the top left as well. On the bottom left side of the phone, you can find a dock for the charger, headphones, and USB. It has a lovely 3.0 Megapixel camera on the back which takes more than decent pictures.

Messaging!

The LG Sentio has a new and great feature that I've yet to see on another phone. Rather than having just an Inbox, you have the option to view a Conversation with one individual. All the texts sent and recieved from one person are all grouped together on one screen (see below). I was extremely happy with this since it makes text messaging a lot simpler and easier to navigate. You do have the option to change the settings back to the standard Inbox view and you still have your Drafts and Sentbox when using either setting. When replying to a message, you have two keyboard options. The first option you're presented with is the standard 9-keys. If you tip the phone horizontally, the option changes to a full QWERTY keyboard. A big plus for the Sentio!

The Camera
I must say I'm extremely impressed by the Sentio's camera. It's one of the best mobile cameras I've owned. The clarity of images is great and you have a lot of different editing options. You also have the option to send any image either via MMS (picture messaging) or Bluetooth to a contact, Photobucket, Snapfish, Flickr, or Kodak. Just another few reasons why the LG Sentio is so great!

Accessories
Wth the purchase of the LG Sentio, you also recieve a 2-in-1 charger and USB cord which is actually a very useful idea and a good money saver. The phone also comes with a headset so you can make calls hands free. You also have the option of purchasing a seperate memory card for extra storage space and for music/photos. If you want to go even further than that, you can consider looking at the incredible covers from ZAGG.

Overall!
I'm incredibly happy with the quality of T-Mobile's LG Sentio. The communication, the apps, the 3G network, everything is definitely top-notch! I highly recommend the Sentio and hope you all consider it while searching for your new phone!
